The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah held a celebration last night marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by Prince Jalawi bin Abdullah, Governor of Jeddah, along with prominent figures and community leaders, as well as the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ branch in the Makkah region, Ambassador Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamli, and several members of the diplomatic corps.
The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah, Mr. Wang Qimin, welcomed the guests and delivered a speech highlighting the strong and historic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China. He praised the deep friendship and international cooperation between the two countries, particularly in regard to hosting Expo 2030. He also underscored the consulate’s role in fostering collaboration by issuing thousands of visas and facilitating visits by Chinese citizens to Saudi Arabia. The consul touched on cultural, commercial, and industrial cooperation, as well as participation in cultural events. On the economic front, his speech mentioned the exchange of delegations and the signing of significant economic agreements. The Consul General reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the close ties between China and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of their strategic partnership.
At the conclusion of the event, the attendees expressed their appreciation for the strong relationship between China and Saudi Arabia, noting that the celebration was an excellent opportunity to reinforce the strategic partnership and affirm the commitment to expanding cooperation in all fields, including cultural and economic, paving the way for a shared and prosperous future.
